This report, Beyond the Bottom Line: How Enterprise Drives Inclusive Growth, examines how enterprise contributes to inclusive growth in the North East of England. Drawing on research with entrepreneurs, enterprise support providers, and policymakers, and a detailed review of current and emerging evidence, the report shows that enterprise also plays a vital role which goes beyond the typical growth, jobs and productivity framing. The report introduces a new way of understanding and measuring enterprise value that better reflects the realities of the North East economy and the goals of inclusive, place-based growth.
