Available Opportunities

INE Associates

In conjunction with Newcastle University Policy Academy and Northumbria University Community of Policy Practice, INE is proud to be launching INE Associates: a new programme designed to support, develop and champion knowledge exchange across the academic-policy ecosystem.

In the first phase of recruitment to the programme, we’re seeking colleagues from Northumbria and Newcastle Universities with an interest in linking their work to local policy agendas. We’re looking for research, professional service and technical staff from a wide range of disciplines whose research could be relevant to the activities and needs of different policy makers in the North East

INE Policy-Hosted Fellowships 2024 with Newcastle City Council

The new INE Policy-Hosted Fellowships programme offers a funded opportunity for colleagues based at Newcastle or Northumbria Universities to spend a focused period of time embedded within a regional policy organisation.

In 2024, for the pilot round of the scheme we are offering one INE Policy-Hosted Fellowship, hosted by the Newcastle City Council (NCC) Executive Office. The successful Fellow will be funded to spend between three and six months based at NCC, working closely with policy professionals on a project that strengthens the contribution of academic research to policy development, implementation and/or practice.
