Join the INE Associates to connect with our growing network of research and policy experts

Insights North East launches the expansion of the INE Associates programme and invites the region’s policymakers to join this collaborative network.

Insights North East (INE) is expanding the INE Associates programme to include local government and public sector professionals. This growing network is designed to support, develop and champion evidence-based policy across the academic-policy ecosystem in the North East. This expansion marks a significant step in connecting university colleagues to policymakers across the region to drive policy change.

“We’re very excited to be expanding the INE Associates network, which has already proved very popular with university colleagues. INE Associates brings together collaborators across the North East to share policy-focused challenges, learning and evidence that help develop actionable outcomes for the ultimate benefit of our region.” – Dr Alison Clarke, Capabilities and Capacities Lead, Insights North East

This programme offers Associates exclusive training and networking events, opportunities to join up with existing research and work on INE projects, and access to collaborative.

The programme is now open to:

  • colleagues from Northumbria and Newcastle Universities with an interest in linking their work to local policy agendas, and
  • colleagues working in local government and public sector organisations across the North East.

Our geographic reach is roughly mapped onto that of the North East Combined Authority (covering the seven local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland), but we’re also open to interest from those working outside the region.

If you are interested in joining the INE Associates Programme, information about the programme, application and drop-in sessions can be found at: insightsnortheast.co.uk/ineassociatesprogramme.
